Wyvern Savings and Loans needs you
Wyvern Savings and Loans is owned and run by its members. There are over 120 volunteers who run all aspects of the Credit Union. They act as tellers at service points and loan officers assessing loan applications. They also act as members of the Credit and Supervisory Committees and the Board of Directors which govern the activities of Wyvern Savings and Loans.
Wyvern Savings and Loans offers a range of roles, all require different commitments and skills. Here are some of the key roles which you could help with. Please contact the office or any of our existing volunteers for more details on any of the roles you might be interested in.
Branch Teller/Cashier – Various locations
Working directly with our members, helping complete application forms, dealing with deposits and withdrawals. Entering transactions onto our database, and reconciling cash.

Pop-up Branch Volunteer – Various locations
Volunteers running pop-up information stalls require detailed and up to date knowledge of Wyvern products and the confidence and people skills to engage with members of the public. You will need to be able to travel and be able to adapt to working in a range of different locations. In essence you need to be able to sell what we have to offer to our local community, that is safe savings and affordable loans.
This is an internal audit role, reviewing and appraising all staff and volunteers to ensure rules and procedures are being followed.
Directors are required to offer a commitment to the future success and current workings of Wyvern Savings and Loans. There are various roles, which will oversee staff and volunteers in daily operations, including Secretary, Human Resources and Chairman.
